RHNJ | Season Seven | BRAVOTV

So… Um…

This whole season has been filled with ‘Holy Shit’ moments. Between Teresa coming home from “camp” to her and Melissa finally forming a true union, to Jacqueline acting completely out of character and quite frankly crazy – my jaw has been on the floor. ON. THE. FLOOR. This has been one of my favorite seasons. Except for the season when Teresa flipped tables, almost punched Any Cohen, and Danielle Staub was all the rage.

However the saddest, yet most touching episode this season, had to be episode 14:
The Importance of Being Family.”
Teresa struggles to stay strong as she says goodbye to her husband, Joe, who begins his 41-month prison sentence.
[We all know the drama surrounding Teresa & Joe Giudice. If you don’t? Click HERE.]

I cried when Teresa came home and hugged her four daughters for the first time as a free woman. But NOTHING made me cry harder than watching Milania, the 3rd daughter, say saying goodbye to her father.

Poor Milania! I actually feel bad watching her pain, on camera.

However, Teresa’s brother, Joe, stepping up to the plate? MOST EXCELLENT! Warmed my whole heart. Yay family!

Also?

Holler @ Melissa! Way to be an awesome Sister-In-Law. Cannot wait to go shopping in her store! In fact, I already have a full-cart online.

Now …

Normally, I don’t like new cast members. It usually takes me a year or two to get used to them. But, I totally love me some Dolores & Siggy. These two have been a FABULOUS edition to the show.

I just don’t understand why they couldn’t see how immature Jacqueline behaved?

I don’t know if Jacqueline needs to change her meds. Or, get ON meds. Or see a hormonal specialist. Because she was NOT okay. And she hasn’t been ‘okay’ ALL SEASON.

Oh,

AND WHO THE FUCK INVITED KIM D?
TO ANYTHING?
EVER?
FOR ANY EPISODE?

Anyone who says they’re friends with Melissa OR Teresa, has NO BUSINESS hanging with that cunt-bag-lying-coke-whore-white-trash-piece-of-shit, Kim D.

No.

Wrong.

HELLO … IT’S ME …

HELLO

IT’S ME

AND I’M STILL ADDICTED TO WATCHING TOO MUCH TV …

It’s been a while.

Yeah.

Like, a really long while.

Whatevs.

I’m not going to waste anyone’s time with details, excuses, or dramatic re-enactments explaining my disappearance. Aint nobody got time for that. This isn’t an episode of Snapped.

However?

And, luckily for y’all…

My undying love – for all things television – has NOT been compromised.

not. even. a. little.

In fact – during my unexplained absence – my love affair with TV has grown even stronger.

With the newest viewing options; from cable and networks providing ondemand capabilities – to Smart TV’s and RoKu apps, such as: Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime?

I’ve inevitably developed a sixth-sense.

For real, people.

I’ve been given a gift. Finding the most awesome television shows, ever.

Some people read fortunes, see the dead, or communicate with the other side. Other people provide stock options, develop retirement plans, or figure out super fancy shit with money. Some people learn. Some people teach. Some people have degrees. And some people just flip burgers or mop floors.

I am not any of those people.

I’m just a television junkie. Committed to all things TV since 1974.

And I am here to give you the inside info.

  1. I’ll let you know when something is worthy of binge-watching. And I’ll give you the reasons why.
  1. I’ll let you know when something is NOT worthy of binge-watching. And I’ll give you those reasons why.

Why?

Because I’m nice like that.

On the other hand?

I am NOT going to research facts, or spend hours perusing IMBD, or spend one second looking up Rotten Tomato or other notable Critic Scores. I am NOT going to read reviews before, during, or after – watching any show, on any venue, ever.

This is just an unbiased and un-researched television junkie’s blog.

That. Is. All.

So…

Brew some coffee, or pour yourself a cocktail, and let’s watch worthy TV, together, again!

Hope y’all enjoy my recommendations, as much as I enjoy watching these shows.

* PS: Suggestions are ALWAYS welcome, usually on my Facebook account. Except for anything SyFy and/or History. NO. Because, BORING. Denied.
FYI: I favor crime/suspense/murder/mystery – on any & all venues. And then I will lean on: Comedy, HGTV, IDTV, BRAVOTV, or even Reality TV, when desperate.

Million Dollar Decorators

Screen shot 2011-06-03 at 1.23.52 PM

Bravo recently launched a new series called, Million Dollar Decorators. It airs Tuesday nights at 10|9c.

And, it is awesome!

About The Show:

The network’s latest docu-series follows five of the most sought-after interior decorators as they navigate the high-pressured design industry for their wealthy, famous, and extremely demanding clients. From a $20 million estate in La Jolla to the Osbourne’s new Hollywood apartment, viewers will get an all-access pass inside some of the most stunning homes in the world.

The series will explore the work and personal lives of Los Angeles-based designers Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Kathryn Ireland, Jeffrey Alan Marks, Mary McDonald, and Nathan Turner. These tastemakers often exchange advice and horror stories, but are also forced to compete for the same top-tier clients and their endless budgets. Every decision and minute spent is crucial as the decorators rush to finish their projects on time and deliver the absolute perfection their clients expect.

I’ve only watched one episode, but I am already hooked!

I am absolutely fascinated with the way these designers come up with such fabulous decorating ideas. And the homes? Oh the homes are simply incredible. Of course, there’s a part if me that’s just a teeny bit envious, because I will never have 5 million dollars to spend on the decor of my home. However, it’s quite enjoyable to watch those who can afford that lifestyle!

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey – Season Three

Screen shot 2011-05-16 at 9.34.56 PM

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey is BACK on the BRAVO Network, Monday Night’s at 9pm!

STARTING TONIGHT!

Okay people, I am willing to admit that I am absolutely fascinated and possibly even ADDICTED to this show. Seriously.

When the show premiered two years I was hesitant about tuning in. But then, one lazy Sunday afternoon, with no where to go, and nothing to do, I ended up watching every episode ‘Marathon Style’. And, I was hooked instantly. I never wanted Season One to come to an end!

I was thrilled when I found out the show would be coming back for another Season. Which I followed very closely.

Since Danielle & Dina left the show last year, this season, they will be introducing TWO NEW Housewives to this already insane cast:

Teresa Giudice

picture-23

Teresa Giudice is a true Jersey girl born and raised. Her parents emigrated from Italy and raised both Teresa and her brother Giuseppe in an Italian Catholic home. She grew up in Paterson, New Jersey, where she met her husband, Joe. The couple played house together as children and now after being married for more than eight years, they are in the process of building their own massive dream home. Joe, an entrepreneur, owns several successful businesses throughout New Jersey and Teresa spends most of her time raising their three beautiful daughters Gia, Gabriella, and Milania. She manages each of the girls’ busy schedules, shuffling them from dance, gymnastics, acting, voice, and guitar lessons — and Teresa herself teaches them all how to be “fabulous.” Before becoming a housewife, Teresa earned a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from Berkeley College. She worked in the fashion industry in New York and hopes to one-day return to the fashion world, but is focused for now on raising her children. She’s also involved in community service, and serves as a committee member for Project Ladybug, a foundation created by Dina Manzo. Teresa is proud to be from the Garden State and happy to live and raise her kids there. She has a beach house on the Jersey Shore and loves to entertain her family and friends while enjoying all that life has to offer.

* She is my absolute FAVORITE of all the ladies. Teresa spends money like it’s nothing, she is the ultimate girly girl, her accessories, shoes, jewelery and lip-glosses crack me up. And she is pretty damn good with her four daughters. I could never handle even ONE girl, let alone four of them! Although, she does tend to spoil them to no end. But, she has it like that, so she can. Teresa is simply adorable, with her big hair and once tiny boobies [which she recently had enhanced]. Seriously, she is someone I would want to hang out with, or meet for lunch!

Jacqueline Laurita

picture-33

Jacqueline Laurita is a former cosmetologist in Las Vegas turned full-time stay-at-home New Jersey mom. Her husband Chris, brother of Caroline and Dina Manzo, owns several wholesale apparel businesses and the couple has been together for more than 13 years. They have a six-year old son, CJ, and Jacqueline has a teenage daughter, Ashley, from a previous marriage. Being a young mother to a teenage daughter has its challenges, but Jacqueline is extremely close with her children. Her family is her main priority, her husband is her best friend, and she is hoping to expand on the family in the near future. Jacqueline and her sisters-in-law enjoy spending time together and can often be found shopping at the latest boutiques or getting their hair done for a night out. Aside from spending time with family, Jacqueline enjoys cooking, working out, and going to the spa. She likes to pamper herself with regular facials, manicures and pedicures. She believes in taking care of herself and doesn’t plan on just growing old gracefully. Always looking for a good laugh, Jacqueline tries to see the humor in everything and is often referred to as the peacemaker between her friends. Although she lives a lavish lifestyle, Jacqueline considers herself to be very down to earth and knows that she is blessed.

* Jacqueline, is the most ‘wholesome’ of the bunch. Yes, she is naive and sheltered, but she has the biggest heart. I get the sense she is easily taken advantage of by some of her friends. However, I like Jacqueline a lot. She does right by her family and she is down to earth. She doesn’t brag or act all sorts of flashy when it comes to the kind of money she has. It broke my heart to hear about her four miscarriages. And I have been inspired by her strength.

Caroline Manzo

picture-71

Caroline Manzo The epitome of a strong New Jersey woman, Caroline is a devoted wife and mother of three, who always puts her family first while making time for her career. Married for more than 25 years, her husband Albert runs a very successful catering facility, The Brownstone. The business has been with the family for over 30 years and is one of the premiere event spaces in New Jersey. Caroline tries to instill the value of both book smarts and street smarts in her children. Her oldest son, Albie, is studying to be a lawyer and her son Christopher is a young entrepreneur, while her daughter Lauren is dedicated to helping the family business. Although Caroline spends the majority of her time with her family, she is also the owner of two successful businesses, Opus Properties, a real estate firm and 4 My Mom, a children’s accessories line. In addition, she serves on the board of her sister, Dina’s foundation, Project Ladybug and is affiliated with The Carolyn Gable Expect A Miracle Foundation, which helps single mothers. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family on the Jersey Shore, where she has been vacationing for years. Often described as a feisty spitfire, Caroline manages to have it all — family, friends and a career.

* Caroline is the mother hen of all the ladies. She is in your face and brutally honest. If I was ever in a fight with someone I would totally want Caroline on my side! She is the ultimate ‘protector’ and proves family comes first in every episode. And besides all of her awesomeness, she shaves her face like I do. And anyone who admits to that ON TELEVISION is alright in my book!

* But, I  have NO IDEA what to expect from the two new women who will be joining the season. I have no idea who they are, where they are from, what’s their story, or how they will add to the show. I wonder who the new ‘crazy/drama’ queen will be?

And I can assure you that I’ll be glued to the television screen tonight!

———-

So tell me people.
Are you watching this show?
Are you as excited as I am for the new season?

Kathy Griffin : My Life On The D-List

Screen shot 2010-06-15 at 10.49.51 PM

I absolutely love me some K-Griff. She is one of my all time favorite comics. Because anyone willing to showed off her vagina bedazzling, aka vagazzling, is alright in my book.

KATHY-GRIFFIN-VAGAZZLE-PAP-SMEAR

And, I love her because she has made me laugh a lot over the years.

I could NOT have been happier watching the 6th Season Premiere this evening. I could feel all of her anxiety facing a big guest-starring role on Law & Order SVU. But that didn’t stop me from cracking up uncontrollably!

In a shocking turn of events, this year she’s almost completely un-banned from most talk shows! *shocking*

Im so happy she’s back for another Summer. Finally, I have something to look forward to on Tuesday Nights!

A Letter to Bravo Television

* This Post Has Been Written by my friend Lucy! *

Dear Bravotv and Andy Cohen,

I would like to sum up my feelings for the Real Housewives Series!  I think that one Housewife, the ORIGINAL,Vicki Gunvalson from The Real Housewives of Orange County, stated it best when she said, “THE FUN IS GONE.”

Vicki is so right.  THE FUN IS GONE in all of the SERIES.

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CITY was a season of PURE DRAMA and not FUN drama.  I did not enjoy watching two friends become enemies.  You can tell me that was their REALITY and you were just taping but I am a HOUSEWIFE and my life does not revolve around FRIENDSHIPS.  In addition, I did not enjoy watching another mother go off the deep end completely.  THAT is not what I watch THE REAL HOUSEWIVES FOR.

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY I HAVE ONLY WATCHED ONE EPISODE.  I have found it to be SILLY and completely unrealistic.  The New Jersey Ladies and I use the word Ladies loosely AND I mean it for all FIVE have become quite FULL of themselves.  They are turning me off of the show.  The FOUR that are a huge click are quite condescending on TWITTER and in writing their blogs.  Unless, you go all lovey dovey over them and FOLLOW exactly who they say to FOLLOW then they BLOCK .  I have to admit, kind of gives a little CREDENCE to DANIELLE STAUB saying they are quite a FORCE when they want to be.  REALLY, makes a person think, hmm.

I started watching the FRANCHISE with THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA.  THESE WOMEN seem to handle the press the best.  Kim Zolciak loves Twitter and deals with the HATERS pretty well.  She doesn’t engage too often and she very rarely blocks.  NeNe Leakes has her ups and downs but has learned to stay low through the tough times.  The other women are not on as often and they tend to stay positive.  They do not BASH THE FANS at all.

Now, onto BLOGGING on BRAVOTV.  Yikes, I do not know where to begin.  I know that you are claiming that you are creating a REALITY show and the blogs are the women writing after they have viewed the episode.  I get it.  I am an intelligent viewer.  AND from what I understand, BRAVOTV has done their research too and knows their audience therefore I am the NORM.  Meaning, most (I used a qualifier) of the viewers are intelligent viewers.  Many (another qualifier) are women in their 30’s and 40’s with degrees and we have careers or had careers.  We tend to have decent incomes.  Actually, many viewers probably have better incomes and more degrees than the HOUESEWIVES’.  Another large demographic of viewers is the GAY COMMUNITY.   And, the one thing BRAVOTV has been commended for is sticking to programming GEARED for their audience BUT I think BRAVOTV is losing sight of this or trying to expand and it might be at the cost of losing their BASE AUDIENCE!

Bottom line:  the HOUSEWIVES need VIEWERS and their condescending tones and nasty blogs are starting to IRRITATE US intelligent viewers.  We don’t need lectured about MANNERS or told to GET A LIFE.  We are not the ones PARADING OUR FAMILIES AROUND on national television for PROFIT.  US VIEWERS USE THEM AS OUR GUILTY PLEASURE.  Oh, and here is a clue.  WHEN SOMEONE SAYS, “IT IS MY GUILTY PLEASURE”,   They are apologizing for watching something BENEATH them. It really isn’t the BEST COMPLIMENT.  The women need to come down off the HIGH HORSE.  A little self deprecation is in order.  Oh, the ladies from NEW JERSEY probably need to look up the meaning of SELF DEPRECATION, especially Teresa Giudice.  Lastly, I certainly did not appreciate having an 18 year old write a blog ripping the viewers.  Ashley Holmes is clearly a ‘child’ hoping to get a show on BRAVOTV just like Lynne Curtin’s daughters’ from Real Housewives of Orange County tried to do last season.  I was curious if BRAVOTV was testing these girls in hopes of luring in the younger crowd???  Give it up BRAVOTV.  The young crowd likes MTV!!!

On a side note:  My two young children, 18 and 21 informed me that I would love Kelly Cutrone on, MTV, THE CITY and forget KELL ON EARTH, that you guys tamed her.  So, that says it all.  If BRAVOTV is really going to try and LURE in the young ones they have to truly compete MTV style and I am thinking us OLDER ones, you KNOW, your HUGE BASE audience are not going to LOVE THAT because I already can tell  you I think the DAUGHTERS’ of the HOUSEWIVES can go straight to HELL.  Trust me if those girls were my kids they would not behave in the manner they do, spoiled little bitches.

Now, back to my true VENT!

BRAVOTV needs to go back to showing us REAL HOUSEWIVES lives.  We liked it.  We liked the FUN.  Gossiping about each other is good.  BUT, that is all I want.  A LITTLE GOSSIP!!  Some good old fashion gossiping.  For the most part, these ladies should live pretty SEPARATE lives.  Busy with family.  I am sick of all the BOTOX, PLASTIC SURGERY, VOW RENEWALS, FAKE TRIPS, BULLSHIT FAKE CHARITY EVENTS AND SO ON.  Get back to the basics.

Honestly, I liked seeing Gretchen Rossi, from Real Housewives of Orange County, get ready for her makeup line event.  I liked seeing Bethenny Frankel promote her cookbook products at the  grocery stores and Alex McCord &  Simon Van Kempen with their kids from Real Housewives of New York City.  Then, sprinkle in a luncheon.  I honestly can’t think of anything I have enjoyed on The Real Housewives of  New Jersey and I have stopped watching their season completely.

You need to go back to the basics.  You need to be honest about TRIPS.  Just tell the viewers it is a HOUSEWIFE getaway planned around SUCH AND SUCH an event.  WE, the viewers GET IT and don’t mind!

Now, I can’t ever send this as a letter it is too long but I use my blog to VENT.  It felt great.  I know it is silly to vent about television but that is what my blog is for.  My silly little stuff.

I use to  enjoy THE REAL HOUSEWIVES and now I have watched it all spiral into the UGLY.

The HOUSEWIVES THEMSELVES have let the FAUX fame (I liked How Jerry Seinfeld said that) really get the best of them.  They are not even D-List celebrities.  THEY are REALITY Celebrities.  These women need to put it all in perspective.  Once the shows are gone, they are gone.  They need to Keep their day jobs!!! Whatever those were or if they ever had a DAY JOB! BUT……

THEY need to stop bashing fans and get over themselves or they just might find themselves looking for DAY JOBS sooner than they think, oh and if they want to say , they don’t care they survived before REALITY TELEVISION then  more power to them we survived long before them too and even better there is always someone to FILL their shoes to keep OUR guilty pleasure going, they are the losers  not us

I was thrilled when I found out the show would be coming back for another Season. As such, I have been following very closely. In fact I find myself on the edge of my seat with every new episode!

Anyway, of course, like any other show, I have come to LOVE and HATE some of the cast. Let me break that down for you now.

And she is pretty damn good with her three girls. I could never handle even ONE girl, let alone four of them! Although, she does tend to spoil them to no end. But, she has it like that, so she can!

[Namely, one of the other cast members, whom I loathe! But I digress.] I like Jacqueline a lot. She does right by her family and she is down to earth. She doesn’t brag or act all sorts of flashy when it comes to the kind of money she has. It broke my heart to hear about her four miscarriages. And I have been inspired by her strength.

Dina Manzo

picture-12

Dina Manzo is a family woman, a business owner, and the founder of the charitable organization Project Ladybug. She balances a career as an interior designer and owner of a successful event planning company with being a loving wife to her husband Tommy and mother to her teenage daughter, Alexia. Dina is best friends with her sister, Caroline, and both of their husbands work together running one of New Jersey’s premiere catering facilities, The Brownstone. She calls her husband the love of her life and they have been happily married for more than four years. Dina is extremely passionate about her foundation, Project Ladybug, and is dedicated to giving back to children with cancer. Her goal is to one day open “Ladybug Houses” so that these children and their families have somewhere safe and comfortable to call home while receiving treatment.

Dina, is kind of annoying. Or least least that’s what I thought LAST SEASON. She seemed cold and distant, except when it came to her daughter. However, this year – I have truly come to respect the fact that Dina makes her family a priority, not to mention that she is a beautiful woman with fabulous hair.  She has no problem telling it like it is, and she is a shark of a business woman. I wish I had half of her energy. I truly admire all she is doing for sick children. Please check out Project Ladybug.

Danielle Staub
picture-61
Danielle Staub is a tough cookie, and she knows it. “You either love me or you love to hate me, there is no in between.” She prides herself on being one of the first women in New Jersey (and 14th person in the country) to have a Black American Express Card and her history of celebrity hook-ups is one for the record books. Known for being brutally honest, Danielle enjoys pushing people’s buttons and doesn’t apologize for it. This newly single mother puts her family first and is constantly on-the-go with her two active daughters, Christine and Jillian. Danielle involves herself in every aspect of her daughters’ lives, whether going to their recitals or attending track meets; she does everything with her girls, whom she considers her best friends. An active member of her local parish, Danielle attends mass regularly and engages her daughters in religious education and community involvement through the parish. While her family takes precedence, Danielle never misses an opportunity to hit the social scene and makes sure to go out and have a good time. Appearance is also paramount to her — she takes a lot of pride in taking care of herself and loves to self indulge by lying out in the sun or the occasional massage.

* Danielle is a LUNATIC. Period. I’m not even kidding or exaggerating. In the bio it states that she puts family first. What a crock of shit. She can only put HERSELF first. Everything has to be about HER, All. The. Time. Danielle drives me nuts with her constant self created drama and the way she tries to drag everyone into it makes me sick to my stomach.  Obviously, she is my LEAST favorite. In fact, I loathe her. Danielle is super manipulative and she wraps people around her slimy fingers. She is a con-artist and plays the victim as if nothing is ever her fault, when in reality, its ALWAYS her fault. Oh, and another thing that irritates me about this woman is the way she thinks she is so hot. Danielle is obsessed with her looks, which by the way, are NOT all that great. I think her boob job looks awful and there is something about her actual skin that is ‘off’. Maybe its old age, maybe its from her excessive tanning, but she looks like leather. And, the shape of her body is weird. Danielle almost has a boy body. She has no hips and her legs are creepy skinny. She does not have any curves and she appears to have a love handle roll, right above her ass. In any event, I can NOT stand this woman.

So tell me people.
Are you watching this show?
And if so…who is your ‘Favorite’ OR ‘Least Favorite’ character and why?

NYC Prep

Okay. Okay. I have watched a few episodes of this show. I almost hate to admit it, but I was accidentally sucked into a Marathon of ‘Back To Back Episodes’ late one night while suffering writers block and insomnia. I gotta tell you, I am AMAZED at how these people live. I was utterly shocked to see such young kids with so much wealth at their disposal. I mean, half of them don’t even know what the limit is on their credit cards. While this show is certainly not on my ‘Must See TV’ list, nor will I go out of my way to watch an episode, but, if nothing else is on TV, I do find this series to be slightly intriguing.

NYC Prep airs on the Bravo Network on Tuesday Nights @ 9/8c

About The Show:

NYC Prep chronicles the lives of a group of privileged teenagers who are key players in Manhattan’s elite high school scene. Students who travel in packs – whether it’s on sophisticated vacations or to a townhouse for an exclusive midnight party, their lives intertwine as they network, shop, party, study, date and write college applications. Everyone’s beautiful and everyone’s connected. On the surface, it seems that these teens live an enviable life. They have access and privilege to spare, and can’t imagine that anything or anyone, will get in their way. Over the course of the series, we’ll see them on the benefit circuit, viewers will get to know their families, their entourage (trainers, college application advisors, stylists) and their guys/girls of the moment. But privilege has its price. Despite their carefree lives, the pressure of lofty expectations can sometimes be too much for even the most confident teenagers.

About The Cast:

taylor_2Taylor is a 15-year-old sophomore who bounces between her public school entourage and the fast-paced, wealthy Upper East Siders. As it is for most New York City kids, the academic bar is set extraordinarily high for Taylor. Her magnet public school is an intense academic pressure cooker, yet she finds time to be an active member of her school’s gymnastics and roller hockey teams. The rigorous pre-professional dance program she’s enrolled in at the prestigious STEPS keeps her sane with dance lessons up to six days a week. Taylor has an active interest in politics and has been known to frequent a student demonstration or two in Union Square. She loves to say that she’s “horrible at relationships,” which may explain why she continually leaves a flock of boys dangling in limbo, despite advice from her closest friends to “date the nice guy.”

[*Taylor appears to be the one that is the most down to earth. While she is ‘boy crazy’ she tries to avoid the gossip and games as much as possible. It’s obvious she has a good head on her shoulders, even though I have heard her say some pretty dumb things!]

sebastianSebastian is known among his circle of friends as the guy who constantly hooks up with the hottest girls – either in the City or at his place in the Hamptons. As a native French speaker, girls swoon at his surfer good looks and impeccable accent. Sebastian regularly hits up the town with wingman and best bud Gabe. Sebastian’s hobbies, aside from girls, are soccer, tennis and debate tournaments. He’s a member of the school newspaper and a certified ocean lifeguard. He is actively involved in charitable causes connected to his school, and has participated in several HMUN (Harvard Model United Nations) events across the east coast. Whether it’s “le football” in the Pyrenees or a debate team dais on the Upper East Side, 16-year-old Sebastian is sure to be surrounded by a sea of admirers.

[*Sebastian is a PLAYER. Or at least he likes to think he is. It’s not really his fault that these girls fawn all over him. He just knows how to use his good look and his charm to his benefit. Kelli and Taylor BOTH like him. And watching that triangle unfold has been quite entertaining.]

ny-prep-pc-125x125-1 PC is one of the most popular kids in the Upper East Side prep school scene. Attractive and wealthy, PC is interested in photography – both fine art photography and fashion photography – and is a music aficionado. He loves sports and plays ice hockey, tennis, golf and soccer. Like many New York kids, this jaded 18-year-old grew up fast, surrounded by rock stars, artists, and the city’s literati. For PC, money, women and life’s spoils are all he’s ever known, and as such, he can’t wait to get out of the “sandbox” of high school. A workout fiend, PC realizes that college is right around the corner and he needs to make an impactful change to his partying lifestyle. His first step is to reconnect with his old friend Jessie. They have a long history – they’ve dated, been best friends and lost touch – and as they pick up where they left off, the drama unfolds.

[*PC is a mess. He is in therapy that’s not working. I think he might be gay or at least he has gay tendencies, but he is too afraid to ‘come-out.’  He is arrogant and insecure at the same time. He thinks the world revolves around him. He expects that everyone is there for him when he need/wants something, but when the time comes for him to return the favor, he falls short, runs late, and lets his ‘friends’ down time and again. His best friend [or, fag-hag?] is Jessie, but she is really in love with him. At least that’s what I think.]

kelli_0 Kelli, While her parents spend much of their time in the Hamptons, Kelli recently moved to the Upper East Side for high school. A 17-year-old junior and the most recent import to the Manhattan social scene, Kelli’s apartment, which she shares with her older brother, often becomes a crash pad for friends – leaving one to wonder if the big city pressures will get to her. She loves exploring the city’s various high-end restaurants with her friends and also manages her brother’s basketball team. Instead of following the party-hunting majority, Kelli chooses to focus on jumpstarting a singing career for herself, working with a team of voice coaches, producers, image consultants, stylists and a dash from her own Mom. Kelli is passionate about setting up a benefit to raise money for cerebral palsy, which afflicts her older sister.

[*Kelli lives in an amazing Upper East Side apartment. But, for the LIFE OF ME, I cannot figure out WHY her parents think it’s OKAY to allow her and her brother to basically roam free. Left to their own devices, these two are without parental guidance. It’s no wonder when Kelli doesn’t know how to act sometimes, and WHY she is so desperate for love and attention. She is the least emotionally mature out of the bunch, but wouldn’t you be too if you were in her situation? I know that when I was her age, if I had my own apartment and unlimited funds, I would have been out of control!]

jessica-head-new Jessie always gets what she wants – in the case of her final year of high school, this means she’s anxious to get accepted by FIT, a top-tier college program to pursue her passion for all things fashion. To bolster her college application, she interviews for cutthroat fashion internships with top designers in New York. Always a leader among her friends, Jessie likes to throw parties for fun, as well as for good causes. As one of the student chairs of the “Operation Smile” junior committee, Jessie showcases her public relations abilities as she works all angles of their big event to raise money, find the perfect glam venue and solicit charitable donations from the city’s top haute couture designers. In her limited free time, Jessie enjoys spinning, exploring vintage stores, and vacations with her family.

[*Jessie is often misunderstood. She can come off as a bitch, but I’ve come to realize that’s just her nature. She truly loves her friends, and she works very hard, which is why she comes off abrasive at time. I have a lot of respect for this one. But, she needs to admit to herself she still has feelings for PC. “Jessie always gets what she wants” except for her true love!]

camille Camille, A junior in high school, 17-year-old Camille takes her studies seriously, balancing rigorous exams, lacrosse practice, studying for her SATS, the debate team and the college application process with aplomb. She’s constantly on the lookout for a boyfriend, but no one seems to meet her impossibly high standards, despite the bevy of suitors knocking on her door. Camille thrives on high school drama and can often be found playing peacemaker, brokering a classic junior vs. sophomore high school feud, or saving a naïve freshman from social suicide. Always armed with acid-tongued opinions and witty retorts, the refined Camille loves to blow off steam by going out on the town at hot clubs around the city.

[*Camille is Kelli’s best friend and she really likes to start trouble. She is my least favorite of the crew. She gets off on other people’s drama and loves to create tension. I find her to be intensely annoying. The reason she never has a boyfriend is NOT because of her ‘high standards’ but because she is too busy forever causing problems in other people’s lives.]
