America’s Got Talent

America’s Got Talent is back…with a 2-Hour Season Premiere!  Tonight, Tuesday, May 31st 8/7c on NBC!

About The Show:

The talent search is open to acts of all ages, and has brought the variety format back to the forefront of American culture by showcasing performers from across the country. The series is a true celebration of the American spirit, featuring a colorful array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, all vying for their chance to strut and perform on stage hoping to win America’s hearts – and the one million dollar prize.

Host: Nick Cannon
Judges: Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan

Now, I wasn’t really into this show back when ‘The Hoff’ was a judge, because quite simply I couldn’t stomach him. But ever since he left the show, I have come to truly enjoy watching the contestants. Mostly for real talent, and not just the crazies. And who doesn’t love Sharon Osbourne?  So, now that American Idol is over, this will be my summer series to watch Family Style. I wonder what they will have in store for us this year?!

Will YOU be watching?

Mow the Lawn

This is a commercial from a few years. However, one of my very good friends, Christine, just sent it to me. We believe this commercial ran in the UK and it deals with womens ‘gardening.’ Interesting, to say the least!

Dear ‘American Idol’ Voters,

Okay, people!

Tonight @ 8pm on FOX,  it all comes down to that ONE CONTESTANT who received the most votes to become this years, American Idol.

And I am super excited.

I just hope it’s NOT this guy.

*Now before you get your panties in a bunch, I truly believe that Scotty IS an EXCELLENT and totally-super-talented singer. I just can’t seem to get past the fact that he looks exactly like Alfred E. Newman. Just sayin‘.

Moving along.

Tell me boys and girls…

Who do YOU think will WIN American Idol this year?

And WHY?

The comments are now open…

So You Think You Can Dance! [SYTHYCD]

Oh, hell yes!

My favorite summer series, ‘So You Think You Can Danceis back with an all new season, this Thursday @8pm on FOX with a two-hour premiere!

Screen shot 2011-05-23 at 10.39.38 PM

Feel free to judge me, but I am forever amazed with what the human body is capable of doing with some of the dance moves. There is not one element missing from this fabulous show. From the contestants, to the music, the movement, the costumes, [oh the costumes!], the makeup, the hair, the choreographers, the judges, and the passion. All of it, literally moves me to chills and sometimes even tears.

[Is that totally lame? Wait. Don’t answer that!]

Maybe I am biased so in love with this show because I used to dream of being a dancer when I was a little girl. I used to envision myself as a back up dancer on Solid Gold. And I would have given a limb to be a contestant on Dance Fever. I am sure that my hard core appreciation is deep rooted since half of my life was spent dancing.

About The Show:

So You Think You Can Dance, the original dance competition series. The competition will inspire and amaze viewers while dancers skilled in styles ranging from hip-hop to ballroom compete to be named America’s Favorite Dancer.

Lets start with some information on the judges and hosts shall we?

Cat Deeley is the main host, and she is freaking adorable. I just love her Birmingham, England accent and the way she dresses. She is beautiful to look at and a sheer pleasure as the host. She is also one of the foremost television presenters in the UK and has recently become one of the hottest new faces on American TV.

Nigel Lythgoe, is one of the judges that sits on the panel every episode. And I also believe he may be one of the producers? Nigel is always honest and accurate when assessing or judging a performance and NOT in a cruel Simon Cowell kind of way. [But I do love me a dose of  brutal reailty dished out by Simon.] Nigel is kind, generous, and seemingly fair when subject to making decisions about who should be cut from the show.

Mary Murphy, is also one of the judges that sits on the panel every episode. And she IRRITATES me to no end. I cannot stand when she screams. I cannot stand when she looses control. Her laugh cuts into me like nails on a chalk board. But, she does have extensive knowledge and provides excellent training as a world-class technical dance instructor.

Mia Michaels often sits in as a guest judge, and choreographs the most brilliant routines I have ever witnessed. She is MY FAVORITE dancer/judge/choreographer/artist – EVER. Mia turns dancing into inspired and unique works of passion and beauty. Mia Michaels is a choreographic GENIUS. And Mia Michaels was the 2007 Emmy Winner – So You Think You Can Dance: “Calling You”!

I don’t know how many of you saw Mia Michael’s work in previous seasons, but the routine she choreographed: ‘ADDICTION’, was not only heart-stopping, chilling, poignant, and universal…it was The Most Beautiful I have ever seen.

There are many other talented guest judges, and choreographers, that frequently appear on the series,  I just don’t know all of their names.

I am totally SUPER psyched about this. And, I am very much looking forward to watching AMAZING new talent this summer!

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey – Season Three

Screen shot 2011-05-16 at 9.34.56 PM

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey is BACK on the BRAVO Network, Monday Night’s at 9pm!

Okay people, I am willing to admit that I am absolutely fascinated and possibly even ADDICTED to this show. Seriously.

When the show premiered two years I was hesitant about tuning in. But then, one lazy Sunday afternoon, with no where to go, and nothing to do, I ended up watching every episode ‘Marathon Style’. And, I was hooked instantly. I never wanted Season One to come to an end!

I was thrilled when I found out the show would be coming back for another Season. Which I followed very closely.

Since Danielle & Dina left the show last year, this season, they will be introducing TWO NEW Housewives to this already insane cast:

Teresa Giudice

Teresa Giudice is a true Jersey girl born and raised. Her parents emigrated from Italy and raised both Teresa and her brother Giuseppe in an Italian Catholic home. She grew up in Paterson, New Jersey, where she met her husband, Joe. The couple played house together as children and now after being married for more than eight years, they are in the process of building their own massive dream home. Joe, an entrepreneur, owns several successful businesses throughout New Jersey and Teresa spends most of her time raising their three beautiful daughters Gia, Gabriella, and Milania. She manages each of the girls’ busy schedules, shuffling them from dance, gymnastics, acting, voice, and guitar lessons — and Teresa herself teaches them all how to be “fabulous.” Before becoming a housewife, Teresa earned a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from Berkeley College. She worked in the fashion industry in New York and hopes to one-day return to the fashion world, but is focused for now on raising her children. She’s also involved in community service, and serves as a committee member for Project Ladybug, a foundation created by Dina Manzo. Teresa is proud to be from the Garden State and happy to live and raise her kids there. She has a beach house on the Jersey Shore and loves to entertain her family and friends while enjoying all that life has to offer.

* She is my absolute FAVORITE of all the ladies. Teresa spends money like it’s nothing, she is the ultimate girly girl, her accessories, shoes, jewelery and lip-glosses crack me up. And she is pretty damn good with her four daughters. I could never handle even ONE girl, let alone four of them! Although, she does tend to spoil them to no end. But, she has it like that, so she can. Teresa is simply adorable, with her big hair and once tiny boobies [which she recently had enhanced]. Seriously, she is someone I would want to hang out with, or meet for lunch!

Jacqueline Laurita

Jacqueline Laurita is a former cosmetologist in Las Vegas turned full-time stay-at-home New Jersey mom. Her husband Chris, brother of Caroline and Dina Manzo, owns several wholesale apparel businesses and the couple has been together for more than 13 years. They have a six-year old son, CJ, and Jacqueline has a teenage daughter, Ashley, from a previous marriage. Being a young mother to a teenage daughter has its challenges, but Jacqueline is extremely close with her children. Her family is her main priority, her husband is her best friend, and she is hoping to expand on the family in the near future. Jacqueline and her sisters-in-law enjoy spending time together and can often be found shopping at the latest boutiques or getting their hair done for a night out. Aside from spending time with family, Jacqueline enjoys cooking, working out, and going to the spa. She likes to pamper herself with regular facials, manicures and pedicures. She believes in taking care of herself and doesn’t plan on just growing old gracefully. Always looking for a good laugh, Jacqueline tries to see the humor in everything and is often referred to as the peacemaker between her friends. Although she lives a lavish lifestyle, Jacqueline considers herself to be very down to earth and knows that she is blessed.

* Jacqueline, is the most ‘wholesome’ of the bunch. Yes, she is naive and sheltered, but she has the biggest heart. I get the sense she is easily taken advantage of by some of her friends. However, I like Jacqueline a lot. She does right by her family and she is down to earth. She doesn’t brag or act all sorts of flashy when it comes to the kind of money she has. It broke my heart to hear about her four miscarriages. And I have been inspired by her strength.

Caroline Manzo

Caroline Manzo The epitome of a strong New Jersey woman, Caroline is a devoted wife and mother of three, who always puts her family first while making time for her career. Married for more than 25 years, her husband Albert runs a very successful catering facility, The Brownstone. The business has been with the family for over 30 years and is one of the premiere event spaces in New Jersey. Caroline tries to instill the value of both book smarts and street smarts in her children. Her oldest son, Albie, is studying to be a lawyer and her son Christopher is a young entrepreneur, while her daughter Lauren is dedicated to helping the family business. Although Caroline spends the majority of her time with her family, she is also the owner of two successful businesses, Opus Properties, a real estate firm and 4 My Mom, a children’s accessories line. In addition, she serves on the board of her sister, Dina’s foundation, Project Ladybug and is affiliated with The Carolyn Gable Expect A Miracle Foundation, which helps single mothers. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family on the Jersey Shore, where she has been vacationing for years. Often described as a feisty spitfire, Caroline manages to have it all — family, friends and a career.

* Caroline is the mother hen of all the ladies. She is in your face and brutally honest. If I was ever in a fight with someone I would totally want Caroline on my side! She is the ultimate ‘protector’ and proves family comes first in every episode. And besides all of her awesomeness, she shaves her face like I do. And anyone who admits to that ON TELEVISION is alright in my book!

* But, I  have NO IDEA what to expect from the two new women who will be joining the season. I have no idea who they are, where they are from, what’s their story, or how they will add to the show. I wonder who the new ‘crazy/drama’ queen will be?

And I can assure you that I’ll be glued to the television screen tonight!

So tell me people.
Are you watching this show?
Are you as excited as I am for the new season?

Hot in Cleveland

TV Land’s hit original sitcom “Hot in Cleveland” returns to heat up the network’s summer line-up with 12 new episodes beginning Wednesday, June 15 at 10 PM ET/PT, immediately followed by the new sitcom “Happily Divorced,” starring Fran Drescher. New episodes pick up right where the show left off in March: Elka had just been convicted of being in possession of stolen goods and is now on the run, while Melanie, Victoria and Joy are left wondering where she is. Now, the women must scramble to find Elka and get her back in time for her sentencing, and they find her in the last place anyone would expect…Amish country.

Upcoming “Hot in Cleveland” episodes will see a new writing job for Melanie at Woman’s Day magazine, Joy reconnecting with her long-lost son, an embarrassing mistaken identity for Victoria, Elka finding a new special someone and a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that will leave everyone stunned.

Amazing guest stars – all heavy hitters from television and film – are lined up to round out the run of season two, including writer and actor Buck Henry (“The Graduate,” “Get Smart,” “30 Rock”), Cedric the Entertainer (“The Steve Harvey Show,” “Barbershop”), Dick Van Patten (“Eight is Enough,” “Spaceballs”), John Mahoney (“Frasier”), Doris Roberts (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), Jennifer Love Hewitt (“Ghost Whisperer”), George Wendt (“Cheers”), Mindy Cohn (“The Facts of Life”), Richard Burgi (“Desperate Housewives”), Antonio Sabato Jr. (“The Bold and the Beautiful”), Michael McMillian (“True Blood”) and returning favorites Amy Sedaris, (“Strangers with Candy”), Huey Lewis (“Just Shoot Me!”) and Wayne Knight (“Seinfeld,” TV Land’s upcoming sitcom “The Exes”).

“Hot in Cleveland” revolves around three fabulous best friends from LA – novelist Melanie Moretti (Valerie Bertinelli), eye-brow archer to the stars Joy Scroggs (Jane Leeves) and former soap star Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick) – who find their lives changed forever when their plane, headed for Paris, makes an unexpected landing. When the friends discover that life is better in Cleveland, they decide to stay. Starting over together, they rent a house that happens to come with a very opinionated caretaker, Elka Ostrovsky (Betty White).

TV Land recently renewed the series for a third season with a 24-episode order, up from an original 22. “Hot in Cleveland” is executive produced by Emmy® Award-winner Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner of Hazy Mills Productions and is helmed by Emmy® Award-winning Suzanne Martin (“Frasier,” “Ellen”) serving as executive producer, show runner and writer. Lynda Obst also serves as executive producer, and Larry W. Jones and Keith Cox are executive producers for TV Land. “Hot in Cleveland” is currently seen around the world in over 165 countries.

The show will debut on TV Land on Wednesday, June 15 at 10:30 pm ET/PT after new episodes of “Hot in Cleveland.” “Happily Divorced” stars Drescher and acclaimed actors John Michael Higgins (“Best in Show”), Tichina Arnold (“Everybody Hates Chris”), Rita Moreno (“OZ”), Robert Walden (“All The President’s Men”) and Valente Rodriguez (“George Lopez”).
