Suits is yet another brand new series airing Thursday nights at 10/9c on the USA network. While I haven’t had the opportunity to watch a full episode yet, from all of the previews and commercial I have seen, I think this show really might have a lot of potential.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Even the best lawyer in New York City can use some help. While running from a drug deal gone bad, Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a brilliant young college-dropout, slips into a job interview with one of New York City’s best legal closers, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). Tired of cookie-cutter law school grads, Harvey takes a gamble by hiring Mike on the spot after he recognizes his raw talent and photographic memory. Mike and Harvey are a winning team. Even though Mike is a genius, he still has a lot to learn about law. And while Harvey may seem like an emotionless, cold-blooded shark, Mike’s sympathy and concern for their cases and clients will help remind Harvey why he went into law in the first place. Mike’s other allies in the office include the firm’s best paralegal Rachel (Meghan Markle) and Harvey’s no-nonsense assistant Donna (Sarah Rafferty) to help him serve justice. Proving to be an irrepressible duo and invaluable to the practice, Mike and Harvey must keep their secret from everyone including managing partner Jessica (Gina Torres) and Harvey’s arch nemesis Louis (Rick Hoffman), who seems intent on making Mike’s life as difficult as possible.
Necessary Roughness, is a brandy new show to premiere tonight, on the USA network at 10/9c. And I’m pretty excited about it. I like the premise of the series, and I love the lead actress, Callie Thorne. Plus, this might just be a much-needed break from all that reality TV I seem to watch!
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Dr. Dani Santino (Callie Thorne) seems to have it all figured out: she’s got a beautiful home, a successful husband, two great kids, and a satisfying career as a psychotherapist. But when she catches her husband cheating, Dani’s perfect world begins to unravel, and she is forced to find a way to keep her family, her finances and her sanity intact. Luckily, a chance encounter with the trainer of the local pro football team offers Dani a chance to show off her counseling skills, and before she can say “Hail Mary,” Dani has taken on the team’s star wide receiver as a patient and become the most sought-after therapist on Long Island. Now, high-profile clients from athletes to entertainers to politicians are clamoring for Dani’s unique brand of therapy during their moments of crisis. But though her career is reenergized, Dani soon discovers that balancing her workload and the new demands of single motherhood won’t be easy. With two teenage kids driving her crazy, an obnoxious ex-husband stirring up trouble, and desperate patients constantly showing up on her doorstep, one thing’s for sure: from here on out, Dani’s going to have plenty of issues to tackle.
Jerry Seinfeld is back and in the producer’s chair for an all-new and improved second season of “The Marriage Ref.”
In this funny and revealing comedy panel series, real-life married couples take center stage as their quirky, funny and relatable disputes are explored, examined – and ultimately judged. For the sophomore run of “The Marriage Ref,” couples will appear in-studio and face a panel of “experts” composed of top celebrities and comedians who will weigh in and decide which spouse is right. The goal is to give couples something they have always wanted but have never had – a clear winner.
At the end of each episode, the studio audience will vote to make one of the winners “The Rightest of the Right.” These winners will receive $25,000 and their very own billboards, in their hometowns, declaring they are right.
Comedian Tom Papa (“The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “The Informant!”) is back in the center of the action where he serves as the host and the “ref.” Papa was personally chosen by Seinfeld for this role.
The Marriage Ref, premiered last Sunday night on NBC at 10pm. And I just happened to catch it. And while it wasn’t as funny as I expected it to be, I truly enjoyed watching Jerry Seinfeld, Julianne Moore, and Ricky Gervais interact with each other. I think that was more amusing than the contestants. However, I LOVED the “winning prize” – not only did they win 25,000, but they also won a billboard in their hometown stating they were RIGHT. And who wouldn’t love to win an argument with a billboard to prove it!

Last week, one of the most anticipated television events of the summer premiered on TNT. On Sunday, June 19th, Steven Spielberg’s Falling Skies premiered in the aftermath of a disastrous alien invasion. This promises to be the hit of the summer.
FALLING SKIES opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force.
At the center of the series is Tom Mason (Noah Wyle), a Boston history professor whose family has been torn apart. His wife was killed in the initial attack, and one of his three sons has been captured. Determined to get his son back and to ensure the safety of his other two sons, Tom must put his extensive knowledge of military history to the test as one of the leaders of the resistance movement known as the 2nd Mass, because of their location in Boston, Mass. They are constantly trying to gain intelligence about the aliens in order to one day outsmart and overtake them and hopefully rebuild their lives.
Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) co-stars as Anne Glass, a pediatrician who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic upheaval in their lives. Will Patton (Armageddon, TNT’s Into the West) plays a fierce leader of the resistance, Weaver. The series also stars Drew Roy (Secretariat) as Hal, Tom’s oldest son and a growing fighter in the resistance movement; Maxim Knight (Brothers & Sisters) as Matt, Tom’s youngest son; Connor Jessup (The Saddle Club) as Ben, Tom’s son who was captured by aliens; and Seychelle Gabriel (Weeds) as Lourdes, an orphaned teenager who helps Anne in the group’s makeshift medical clinic. Colin Cunningham (Living in Your Car) is John Pope, the leader of an outlaw motorcycle gang and Sarah Carter (Shark) is Margaret, a wary survivor of Pope’s gang.
FALLING SKIES focuses on the resilience of the survivors and their determination to maintain their humanity when all else has been destroyed. It is a tale of endurance, commitment and courage in which everyday people are called upon to become heroes. They may be outmatched, outnumbered and outgunned, but nothing can beat the human spirit. Most of all, the series is about the ties that bind people together in the most difficult of circumstances.
The aliens in the series are mighty, mysterious and merciless. They are highly intelligent and use military-like tactics, which makes them an overwhelming force against the 2nd Mass. There are two types of aliens that the human survivors have named Skitters and Mechs. Combining live action and special visual effects, the Skitters have spider-like bodies and incredible strength and agility. The deadly, robotic Mechs stand upright and can shoot bullets from their arms. The aliens control captured children, like Tom’s son Ben, through bio-mechanical harnesses but have yet to reveal their ultimate plan for them.
FALLING SKIES is executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, along with DreamWorks Television heads Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, Graham Yost (Justified, The Pacific) and screenwriter Robert Rodat. Rodat, who earned an Oscar® nomination for his screenplay for Saving Private Ryan, wrote the pilot from an idea he co-conceived with Spielberg. Mark Verheiden (Heroes, Battlestar Galactica) and Greg Beeman (Heroes, Smallville) are co-executive producers. The pilot was directed by Carl Franklin (One False Move, Out of Time).

STARZ will present the original series premiere of “Torchwood: Miracle Day” entitled ‘The New World,’ on Friday, July 8th at 10pm ET/PT. The one-hour, 10-part series features “Torchwood” alumni John Barrowman (Capt. Jack Harkness) and Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper) along with Mekhi Phifer (Rex Matheson), Bill Pullman (Oswald Danes) and, in an extended guest role, Lauren Ambrose (Jilly Kitzinger).
Please CLICK HERE for a special 11 minute preview!
“Torchwood: Miracle Day” begins with a day when nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep aging — they get hurt and sick — but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight. With all the extra people, resources are finite. It’s said that in four month’s time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can’t be a natural occurrence – someone’s got to be behind it. It’s a race against time as C.I.A. agent Rex Matheson investigates a global conspiracy. The answers lie within an old, secret British institute. As Rex keeps asking “What is Torchwood?,” he’s drawn into a world of adventure, and a threat to change what it means to be human, forever.
STARZ’ newest original series is a reimagining of the UK sensation, which originally debuted in 2006 on BBC One. The show’s original creator, writer/producer Russell T Davies, serves as executive producer along with BBC Worldwide Productions’ SVP Julie Gardner, with Davies also serving as show-runner. “Torchwood: Miracle Day” is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions for Starz, BBC Cymru Wales and BBC Worldwide.

Yeah, that’s right. I’m not ashamed to admit, I love this family.
I’ve watched every single episode of this show, as well as ‘Kourtney & Khloe take Miami’, ‘Kourtney & Kim take New York’, and ‘Khloe & Lamar’. I just can’t get enough of them! They are beautiful, smart, hard-working women. And I adore them. They are my all-time-favorite Reality TV Family.
