Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. With a new sense of fearlessness, and a desire to secure his family’s financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime, where he ascends to power. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis, such as White’s, releases a typcial man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to kingpin of the drug trade.

AMC’s Emmy® Award-winning drama Breaking Bad will be back with a vengeance. Created by acclaimed writer, producer, and director Vince Gilligan and produced by Sony Pictures Television, the series has been hailed as “TV’s best” (Newsday), “mesmerizing” (LA Times) and “among the very elite in television” (San Francisco Chronicle). Now, in its fourth season, danger has become a way of life for chemistry teacher-turned-drug-kingpin Walter White (Bryan Cranston), who has embraced his drug-world alter ego with chilling purpose. Even his once tranquil family life has taken a dark turn, as Walt continues to juggle his roles as fatherly provider and drug manufacturer.

Okay, I have to admit I never watched this show, until very recently. Even though I heard positively glowing reviews from nearly everyone I’ve ever spoken to regarding Breaking Bad, I wasn’t very interested in watching some science teacher, with lung cancer, turn into a Meth-Dealer. I’m not a exactly big fan of science, or cancer, or tweakers.

However, that being said, with limited choices these days, I accidentally stumbled upon the pilot episode.

And, um…..

I was immediately HOOKED.

And by hooked I mean I watched EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of Season One – in ONE sitting.

For – 7 hours. IN A ROW

And then I took a three hour nap, only to wake up, and watch EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of Season Two – in ONE sitting.

For – 13 hours. IN A ROW.

And then I took another three hour nap, only to wake up, and watch EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of Season Three – in ONE sitting.

For another 13 hours. IN A ROW.

Because I HAD TO KNOW what happened next.

Now, I don’t think I’ve ever said this about any others show, but the series Breaking Bad is the same high quality as DEXTER.

Maybe it’s even better.

[Seriously, people? Breaking Bad IS better than Dexter.]

And that speaks volumes.

I highly recommend any and EVERY ONE watches this show.

It’s real, it’s raw, it’s heart-wrenching, anxiety-producing, fascinatingly, BRILLIANT.

Creator, and writer, Vince Gilligan, is a flippen genius.

Bryan Cranston, who plays Walt White, has won an Emmy for each season.

I’ve never been more eager for a new season of a TV show than I am right now!

The Big C

The Big C is back for it’s second season on Showtime. Airing MONDAY nights at 10:30PM ET/PT . And I for one am totally-super-psyched about it! Personally I think this is Laura Linney’s FINEST performance. She is absolutely BRILLIANT in her role as Cathy Jamison. The season finale of season one literally left me in a puddle of tears – but, in a good way. I am really looking forward to seeing how this next season unfolds.

*If you think there isn’t any really good television to watch during the summer, may I suggest tuning into this show.

Laura Linney returns in her Golden Globe® winning role for a new season of The Big C, the hit Showtime Original Series about living… with cancer. After spending most of season one ignoring her illness, Cathy Jamison has decided to fight back. “Bring it on,” says Cathy, as she enters an experimental clinical trial while continuing to live life to the fullest in this heartfelt and surprising comedy. Conservative Minneapolis wife and mother Cathy Jamison let her freak flag fly when she got her cancer diagnosis. She also decided against treatment, at least until her loved ones learned the truth. But now she’s opting to face cancer head on. Her family and friends can have their problems, she’s got a life to live… and fight for.
