What IS…Good TV?

Apparently, I love me some NBC. After I started writing for this site, I realized I watch entirely too much NBC even though occasionally I drift over to FOX. It may just be that time in my life to venture out and see what’s happening on those other networks like CBS, and ABC.

I asked around to see what is out there in TV land worth watching. So far I have gotten a few responses. Boston Legal, Brothers and Sisters, Two and a Half Men, and The New Adventures of the Old Christine.

Would you agree those are worth watching? Is it time for me to hit the Internet and dvd’s hard?

I would like to open the door to all of you, for a chance to weigh in the comments. What are you watching? What is your favorite show, currently on TV? And Why?

*Don’t forget to tune in (or Tivo) to ABC today at 11am, for the apperance of Alec Baldwin on the View!* I know I will be glued to the screen. Full article here by Monday!

  2. Yes, I am Alec obsessed, but it is my job to keep people abreast!

    About SITCOMS:

Watching Sitcoms will be bringing you the best and worst of situation comedies. What to watch and what to avoid! From yester-year classics to today’s newest shows. HERE IS THE PART YOU MUST OF MISSED: And, if one of our sitcom stars lands on the front page with some juicy gossip, we have it covered.

Yes, I am in love with Alec, but it’s not my fault hes in the spotlight celebrity news right now! I’m just lucky!

I’m very curious about The New Adventures of the Old Christine too!

    Thanks for reading!

  3. I have DVR set to record these shows religiously:

House MD (mmmmm. Hugh Laurie. drool.) – Fox

The Dresden Files – SciFi (with another hot British hunk playing an American character)

    Bones – Fox

    Heroes – ABC

    Lost – ABC

CSI (Las Vegas version only) – CBS

Rules of Engagement – CBS (possibly cancelled or not renewed, too bad, since this was a funny show)

‘Til Death – Fox – stars Brad Garret from Everybody Loves Raymond, funny show

The Wedding Bells – Fox – another one that I have set to record on tiVo and havent seen in a week or so. Hopefully not cancelled, it was just starting to warm up.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – ABC

The Sopranos – HBO (this one is honey’s – I think the show has TANKED lately)

Rescue Me (not currently in season again yet)

Dexter – Showtime – (not back in season yet)

The Black Donellys (also honey’s – I didn’t like this one either)

Top Chef (also not back in season yet)

I feel like I’m missing a few. I watch waaaaay too much television.

  4. Ask your cable or satellite company to upgrade you to the DVR box if they offer it – it works like tiVo but isn’t TiVo. If they offer it, make sure to get the dual recorder version so you can record two shows at once or watch one and record one at the same time.

  5. BOSTON LEGAL, BOSTON LEGAL, BOSTON LEGAL and BOSTON LEGAL (aka ‘Denny Krane’). even the concept is hysterical & right up your sense of humor alley.

Then there’s BROTHERS & SISTERS with the madness of 5 siblings + their just discovered 6th all mixed in with melodrama.
    A definite must watch, imho.
