Trust Me

Eric McCormack ( Will & Grace ) and Tom Cavanagh ( Ed & Scrubs) return to series television in TNT’s TRUST ME , a sharp, witty drama series that centers on two best friends working as creative partners at a top-ranked Chicago ad agency.

I think I am excited about this show. TNT has been pumping out new hits as of late, with Leverage as one of my new favorite shows.

About Trust Me:

Set against the backdrop of the high-pressure world of advertising, TRUST ME focuses on Mason (McCormack) and Conner (Cavanagh), a pair of ad men whose strong creative partnership has served the firm of Rothman Greene & Mohr extremely well over the years. Mason, an art director, is a responsible, workaholic family man with a beautiful wife, Erin (Clarke), two children and an undying loyalty to the brands he helps sell. By contrast, his writing partner, Conner (Cavanagh), is a single, impulsive copywriter with the attention span of a teenager.  Their yin-yang relationship is put to the test when Mason is named a creative director of the agency, making him Conner’s boss. The series follows the changing dynamics between the two friends, who are better together than they are apart.

Yep. I am going to watch the premiere tonight and write a snappy review for ya’ll afterwards!

  1. I have actually been able to see the show (thanks to a screener from TNT). Overall I would say the show is pretty solid. It is worth watching but it could use some work. I am guessing the show will grow as the series progresses (I was only able to see the first two episodes). I think Leverage is a better show but Trust Me shows that TNT is really starting to make some great shows.

  2. Leverage is AMAZING. But I did not get the chance to see this. Stupid personal drama got in my way. Thank god for TNT replays.

  3. This show looks pretty good. I remember the one guy from Ed–he was good in it. I can’t help but think Mad Men sort of inspired this show, since they have sort of the same premise or at least setting.

    Meleah –

I know you mentioned in a recent post that you will be closing the blog for a while, but I’m curious if you would be interested in maybe exchanging blogroll links with me. I run a blog all about tv because I watch so much of it and even dream to maybe be a tv writer at some point. Let me know if you’re interested. You can send me an email at freetvontheweb at hotmail or leave a comment on my blog.
